Beirut based “Post Industrial Crafts” (PIC) is a research and creation lab based in Beirut, Lebanon. PIC works on complex geometries with digital tools to create engaging sculptural shapes. Their innovation is backed by over 20 years experience in design & architecture. In their large workshop they use advanced
digital fabrication machines in order to implement and test their creative propositions. PIC’s workshop includes large scale 3D printers, five 7 axis 10 Tons robot arms and all the needed tools to produce all their designs. They employ architects, designers, engineers and coders, in order to produce in-house solutions, including 3D code, to produce cost efficient, beautiful and engaging products.
Printed layer by layer, the Tripod lamp is crafted by a 5D printing setup that combines 'Hayete' a large scale robotic arm from the automotive industry - with an industrial plastic extruder. The result is an unprecedented take on the design of plastic objects.
