Born in Syria, Anas Albraehe is a Beirut-based artist who primarily works in painting and theatre performance. After the onset of war in Syria, he relocated to Lebanon and obtained an MA in Psychology and Art Therapy.
Anas explores in his paintings the coexistence of the beauty of forms with the ugliness of everyday hardship. He wonders whether beauty can reside in sadness and wretchedness.
