The union between two of Lisa Corti's most iconic designs has given life to the Arabesque Corolla design, where ‘Arabesque’ originates from a detail of an Indian miniature: the decorative motif of the jacket of a portrait of a maharaja, reworked and transformed, preserves the proportions of a geometric design, which serves as a garden for the ‘corolla’ flower, which is a bouquet of three Dahlia flowers.
This collection has called for Lisa Corti to embark on an exciting new printing technique. This innovative technology is unique as the printed design originates from a hero hand-carved prototype created using block printing and crafted by master artisans in India, which is then copied onto pure cotton. Made exclusively in Italy, this new artisanal yet modern practice embodies Lisa Corti's fusion of heritage and innovation.
